BDA Study Tour FAQ
Manhattan, NYC - October 1-4, 2024

We're excited about this year's trip to NYC! Have a question? We (may) have the answers! If you don't see your question here, drop us a line at Matt@bellevuedowntown.com

1. How many Study Tour spots are available?

We generally cap registration for study tour at 55 attendees, on a first-come basis. We found this to be a manageable size for walking tours and venue selection for group presentation

2. What is covered by the $975 registration fee?

In addition to program expenses, we budget to cover the costs of one group dinner, receptions, and group lunches - as well as group transportation, if needed.

3. What do people typically wear on the Study Tour? Is there a dress code?

We generally say, "business comfortable attire," and whatever that means to you is the right answer. Comfortable shoes for walking tours. We meet with elected officials and business leaders but there are no expectation for more formal business attire on a study visit.

4. Can I fly-in earlier, stay later?

Yes. Please note the 7% Alaska Airlines discount is subject to a specific window of time in late April/early May and for certain airports in the region. hotel rooms, including the group rate, out of the two-night stay, are subject to availability.

5. May I stay at a different hotel in NYC?

yes, however we will use the Dream Downtown Hyatt as a meeting location and start/end point for some walking tours.

6. Do I make my own flight and hotel reservations?

Yes. Please use the Alaska Airlines discount code when prompted for it online, as well as the Dream Downtown by Hyatt hotel reservation link or phone number. Both of these will be emailed to registrants. You will be responsible for your air/hotel reservation and payments.

7. How will we get to/from the airport?

If you're booking the recommended Alaska Airlines SEA           JFK flight, we plan to provide bus transportation from the JFK International Airport to the Dream Downtown by Hyatt. We'll let registrants know if this plan changes, i.e. (we use a bus/coach)
